Telehealth

We now offer Telehealth Visits. Since Mid-March, Medicare and all major insurers cover Video Medical Appointments, just as they would a regular office visit. This was of course to protect vulnerable patients from going to medical offices during the Covid-19 pandemic but it is available as an option to all patients

To schedule a Telehealth visit, simply call the office and arrange an appointment like a normal visit. You will need one of the following to make this work: an I-phone or Android smartphone, a laptop computer with a built in camera, or a desktop computer with a camera attachment. We will be able to use Facetime, Skype, Zoom or other platforms to conduct the visit. You can specify which platform that you would prefer to use and we will contact you at your scheduled appointment time. We can also help you with technical problems over the phone if you give us a call.

We expect that even after the Pandemic, insurers will still cover this service, as it saves time and makes it easy for patients with difficulty traveling to the office.

This has worked out well during the Pandemic, and we believe that we can serve our patients better with this additional visit option.

Severna Park Medical Associates sends out information pertinent to our patients’ health, announcements of closings, and office changes. Our patients can now use email, rather than a phone call, to communicate non-urgent information with us. We can also send lab results and other information to patients directly.
